Laptop cooler
Todays laptops are very powerful machines, wrapping up a lot of technology into a small package. Even with good design laptops will get warm if not hot. For my workstation project, I’m looking for a place to keep my laptop when it’s on my desk. This place will need to tilt the laptop to a good comfortable typing position, and if possible help cool the laptop.
After some research on the internet, I found what lookes like the ideal solution. The Thermaltake Massive23 LX laptop cooling stand this this has a 23cm fan, the body is made from ABS Plastic, and the top surface is what looks like Aluminium. The fan is huge, but with a rating of 17bd it’s as near to silent as you are likely to get. I doubt that you’ll be able to hear it over the natural background noise of a room.
Having looked around it seems that there are not any uk suppliers for this it is a brand new product, which I’m very keen to get my hands on. Why this one and not other similar products? well I like the sound of it being made from ABS Plastic to keep it light, the 30 degree angle is perfect for a keyboard, the ability to turn off the LED’s is good, the huge fan means that it will be quiet and having the entire top covered in metal means that it should act like a huge heatsink.
