Astro Collector can make copies of your images to multiple locations. For example
One copy on your laptop, another on an external drive and a third on a NAS (Network Attached Storage)
When does it do this? It happens when it’s making the first copy of the image from the telescope, it will write to all places at the same time.
This means that it reads once from the telescope
It will then keep all backup locations in sync with each other.
When at a starparty, I’m very sure that you will not have access to your Nas, don’t worry, AstroCollector will know that there’s no connection, and will skip copying files to that location. When you go home and plug into your home network, the Nas device will become available, then AstroCollector will resync your images with that device bringing it completely up to date.
